On Saturday, Feb. 4th UCSD will be hosting a sectional quizbowl competition, which is a jeopardy style tournament against all the participating schools with topics revolving around academic subjects. It is a full one-day competition with at least nine rounds and a special division (Division II) for schools without experience in college quizbowls such as SDSU. Each school is allowed one entrance with the possibility for multiple teams if topics are being split up amongst them. Each team is allowed four students to play at a time with substitutions. The top-finishing teams at this competition will be invited to compete at the Intercollegiate Championship Tournament on March 31st 2012 in Chicago, featuring the best of the best from around the world.
