Community Service Opportunity
Southern California Forum for Diversity in Graduate Education
Saturday, April 14, 2012 7a.m. – 4 p.m.

We are in need of student volunteers to help at the 22nd Annual California Forum for Diversity in Graduate Education, which is being hosted by SDSU. This is the first time this event will be taking place on the SDSU campus, and we’d like to represent our campus in the best way possible. Hence, the call to you to help serve the University!
This day provides the perfect opportunity to get a maximum of 9 Community Service hours along with a thank you letter from the president of SDSU.
The volunteer duties will range from:
-Directional duties/greet/direct to registration
-Directional duties/direct to workshops
-Check in students during registration beginning of day
-Take overall evaluations from student’s end of day
-Workshops/handout evaluations beginning of session/take back handouts end of session/count attendance each session
There will be two informational/training sessions. Volunteers are required to attend one training session in order to volunteer at the event.
Thursday, April 5th 4p.m. University Club 40 minutes
Friday, April 6th 4p.m. University Club 40 minutes
Volunteers will receive:
- Breakfast if morning shift
- Lunch if afternoon shift
- Breakfast/Lunch if both shifts
- T-shirts to wear(keep) day of forum –given out at workshop
- Free forum tote bag
- Free access to the Princeton Review’s on-line GRE prep course (to be taken at your convenience) $450 value if you volunteer all day
