SDSU Greek Awards 2012
It’s that time of year again ladies and gents! Once a year, the Greek community has their annual Greek awards where recognition is given to numerous chapters as well as individuals in the Greek community who have lived up to what Greek Life stands for here at San Diego State.
Awards go out for various reasons such as having the most outstanding Parent Relations program, to having the most outstand scholarship program, or community service project. Besides those, there are also chapters who are recognized for having the most outstanding Greek collaboration event, philanthropy and even most outstanding diversity project.
Beside the chapter awards, there are individual awards given out as well including most outstanding president awards for each council as well as faculty/staff and alumnae advisors. This event truly touches on those who have put forth their best efforts and continue to live up to the mission of bettering the Greek Community here on campus. Whether that be stepping up in leadership positions, or bringing new ideas to the table, this one night is where all the hard work done throughout the year is finally awarded and recognized by the community.
A few other very prominent awards that will be given include Greek New Member Award for each council as well as Greek members of the Year award. All of these amazing awards will be presented Tuesday, May 1st at the Parma Payne Goodall Alumni Center from 6pm to 8:30pm. Each chapter will have three representatives there to accept the awards. Contact your chapter presidents for more information on being able to attend the event!
Student Life and& Leadership would like to thank the Greek Community for your outstanding work this year! Keep it up!
