To All the Graduating Seniors…

To All the Graduating Seniors…

Congratulations to all of you on this outstanding achievement in your life. It is truly a momentous occasion that you should be proud of. It is also a time to look back on your college experience and be reminded of the people who made a difference in your life, the people who you would not be here today without.

Graduation is a time of celebration and joy for you, your family, your friends, and for the faculty, staff, advisors, colleagues, mentors, and new found family that has not only supported you, but aided and guided you on your way to success. I hope that every single one of you will take the time in the remaining weeks (or days) before commencement to personally thank those people who have impacted you and shaped you into the person you are today. Even if you are not able to see all those people, a simple card goes a long way to the heart and soul of a person. Reach out to those special people from your college career and let them know you appreciate them. As we all go off into this new journey of our lives, the impact those people made on us is going to stick with us, and it is so important to keep them with you for as long as you can.

From personal experience, I can say that I would not be graduating from SDSU if it wasn’t for some amazing faculty, staff, and mentors that I have met through SDSU and through getting involved on campus. I hope you all keep those people with you, because they are going to keep you with them as long as you allow it.

SDSU is an amazing school that we should all be proud to be a part of. Let us all take the memories we have made with us and show the world what kind of people SDSU produces. I wish you all tremendous success in all your endeavors.

Congratulations to the class of 2012!
