This Week @ SDSU

As another week passes the campus becomes more and more like a home to our students. A sense of a growing routine can be felt. The great news is that SDSU has many great events that can help break that routine.

The Aztec Recreation Center (ARC) has some awesome new classes starting up for our students. The first next class is a belly dancing class that is taking place on Thursday, September 13th from 2:30pm to 3:30pm. This is another great way for our students to get some cultural dancing from around the world. To find out more about all the classes offered by the ARC check out their website at,

This week is actually a big awareness week across the country. Sunday kicks off National Suicide Prevention Week. It is a whole week dedicated to raising awareness about the different options that are available to our students here at SDSU. We encourage our students to contact the office of Counseling & Psychological Services if they are going through depression or know someone who is going through depression so that they can get the help that they need. To learn more about all the services offered by Counseling & Psychological Services please refer to their website at For more information on National Suicide Prevention Week, you can also check out our last blog.

To wrap up the week our Aztecs play North Dakota at Qualcomm Stadium; however, the fun doesn’t have to stop after the game is over. The Black Light Block Party starts at 9:30pm on Saturday night. This is a great way for our Aztecs to continue the fun late into the night with laser tag, arcade games, and much more!

So feel free to go and check out any and all of the events occurring this week all around campus.
