When you’re an Aztec there’s never a dull moment! At SDSU, you can always find something to do, whether it’s an eye-opening discussion hosted by a student organization, a concert, or an athletics event!
This week @ State you have plenty of things to choose from!
On Monday October 1st from 10am to 11am in College Square Room 208 you can go to The Twentieth-Century of Religion in Korea and learn from a leading scholar in Korean History, Dr. Baker, about why the number of South Koreans who have declared their belief in a specific religion has gone up significantly.
Later that evening, from 4pm to 6pm in the Fowler Athletic Center Auditorium, you can learn from Dr. Baker again as he explains Korea’s Role in East Asian and World History.
If you’re looking for some entertainment early in the week you can go check out Furthur on Tuesday, October 2nd at 7pm at the Open Air Theatre. Tickets range from $35-$55 and can be purchased through Ticketmaster or the Viejas Arena ticket booth.
And if you haven’t had enough fun by then, you can head back to Open Air Theatre the next night to see Mac Miller perform live in concert! Wednesday, October 3rd at 7:30pm. Tickets are $35 and can be purchased through Ticketmaster or the Viejas Arena ticket booth.
On Thursday, October 4th at 12:30pm in the Parma Payne Goodall Alumni Center you can enjoy an informal discussion with veterans with Dr. Jonathan Shay about what it’s like to go From War Front to Home Front.
Friday, October 5th is the kick-off for the two day Family Weekend! All families are encouraged to come out and see what an amazing life their SDSU student is living! They will be able to meet SDSU administrators and staff and enjoy many of the special activities that the New Student and Parent Programs Office have planned for them!

On Friday night, run over to the SDSU Sports Deck on top of Parking Structure 5 to cheer on our Men’s Soccer Team to a victory against the Washington Huskies! The game will start at 7:00pm and every one is encouraged to wear Aztec colors!
Then to close out the week, after your family enjoys the Saturday festivities of Family Weekend, bring everyone to Qualcomm Stadium to watch the Aztec Football team play against Hawaii! Kick-off is at 5:00pm and the game will be end with the annual KGB SkyShow!
