Monday, October 22nd: “The Covert Return of the Military-Intelligence Complex to Campus: Why Universities Should Be Very Afraid”. Dr. David Price is returning to San DiegoState to address the threats posed to academic freedom and integrity by the renewed efforts of military and intelligence agencies, in the post-9/11 era. The event is going to be held at Hardy Tower 140, from 5:30-7:00.
Tuesday, October 23rd: Today is the Education Abroad Fair from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM! This fair is an opportunity for students to learn more about SDSU study abroad programs. Students can study abroad in more than 55 countries and financial aid is applicable and scholarships are available to ensure a study abroad that is both affordable and feasible. The fair will be located on the Love Library Walkway.
Wednesday, October 24th: On Wednesday is the second workshop from Student Life & Leaderships FREE Workshop Series! Want to learn more about your own and friends’ personalities? Do you want to learn how communicate and interact with your class group members more effectively? Then come to the “True Colors: Personality & Communication Styles Exercise and Conversations” workshop at 3pm in SLL: Student Services West 1661!
Thursday, October 25th is Greek Night from 7-10pm! Greek life is hosting a fun carnival styled event for all the Greek chapters!
Have you been meaning to go to the ARC, but don’t want to pay those pesky membership fees? Well, Thursday is the ARC Open House! You get FREE entry into the ARC from 8am to 9pm, and FREE entry to the Aquaplex from 10am to 9pm! There will also be a used adventure equipment sale, complimentary massages, a free belly dancing class, and a DJ to keep you energized! Be sure to check out all the great things they are doing and times for this event!
Also on Thursday is another workshop from Student Life & Leaderships FREE Workshop Series! This “Community Service” workshop is great for students or student organizations who are looking to increase their knowledge about community service, university resources and service opportunities they can get involved with! It starts at 10:30am in the SLL office (SSW 1661) and it’s FREE!
Saturday, October 27th you can go “Tide pooling”. Come learn more about the amazing animals and plants that live in the San Diego tide pools. Located on 600 Tourmaline Street, Marine Biologists from the university will be there for an interactive and educational day!
Saturday is also SDSU Football game vs. UNLV at Qualcomm Stadium @ 5:00pm. There are only 3 home games left in the season, so come and support our Aztecs!
