Interested in discussing diversity within education? Or learning more about culture and how it’s significant to education? Ever wondered what other students may think about your race or ethnicity? Well maybe this event is for you! The office of Intercultural Relations here at San Diego State University is holding a very special event on campus regarding these important discussions. The first annual Collegiate Dialogue on diversity summit is on Saturday, November 3rd, 2012 on campus at SDSU (Scripps Cottage and Aztec Mesa). The opening session to this event will be held in Scripps cottage followed by lunch and the closing session. The actual workshop questions will be held in Aztec Mesa. At 8 a.m. there will be check-in and registration for conference at Scripps patio. From 8:30 – 9 a.m. will be open entertainment. From 9-9:30 a.m. there will be opening remarks for anyone who would like to speak. From 9:30- 10 a.m. a morning keynote speaker will attend. From 10- 10:15 a.m. the group will walk over to the next destination which is Aztec Mesa. There will be lunch from 11:15 a.m. till 12:15 p.m. located at Scripps patio. After lunch their will be speaking sessions available where students get to speak and the keynote speakers will attend. After these sessions the group will then walk over to Scripps cottage for the closing ceremony 3:15 to 3:45 p.m. This time will be available for keynote speakers and also any last comments from students. From 3:45- 4:30 their will be a networking reception and entertainment in Scripps patio. If you have any questions regarding this event make sure to sign up space is limited!
