Monday, November 12: Hopefully you did not come to school, as the campus was closed for Veteran’s Day! Take time to reflect and appreciate all of those who have served in the armed forces to defend our country.
Tuesday, November 13: The School of Art, Design and Art History will be having a craft sale to help raise funds for the school to help fund guest speakers and workshops. All works are original student works or ceramics and jewelry. The sale will take place at the Art Building South.
The International Speaker forum will be having Irakli Kakabadze giving a presentation on “Marginal Voice of Global South.” The event is FREE and will be held at the International Student Center.
Wednesday, November 14: The International Student Center will be having a Summer Learning info session for a Learning Program in China. The session will be held from 11:30-Noon. They will be having information about scholarships that would cover nearly 100% of all expenses. This is an incredible opportunity and won’t disappoint.
Also, SDSU Women’s basketball is playing at 7PM at Viejas Arena. Come cheer our Lady Aztecs on to victory over the UC Irvine Anteaters.
Thursday, November 15: Student Life & Leadership will be hosting a FREE workshop open to all students! What Conflict Style Do You Lead With? will be from 12:30 – 1:30pm in SSW 1661. Managing conflict is hard, uncomfortable, and necessary. Are some of those roommate issues starting to arise? Is there conflict going on in your student organization? Come and get some excellent tools to help you out!
From 2:00-3:00 at the International Student Center, they will be having a General Info workshop about General Study Abroad information. Anyone considering studying abroad should attend this workshop.
Starting Thursday at 7:30 and continuing through the weekend, the Department of French and Francophone Studies will be holding the 9th Annual French and Francophone Film Festival. They bring together a selection of recent cinema from France and Belgium. There will be six films including “The Kid with a Bike,” “ Unforgivable,” and “Free Men.” This will be a wonderful culturally enhancing opportunity.
Friday, November 16: Again, the International Coffee Hour will be from 12:00 – 1:00 for China. This will not only benefit domestic attendees as they learn about the Chinese culture, it will also help the Chinese students understand more about the American Culture. This event will also be held at the International Student Center.
Saturday, November 17: Viejas Arena welcomes Enrique Bunbury on Saturday, November 17th at 8 pm. The gates open at 7 pm. Tickets can be purchased through Ticketmaster; online, by phone or at the Viejas Arena box office in person. Parking is $10 in PS4 and PS5.
