This Week @ State!

getinvolvedlogo Welcome back Aztecs! Time to dust off the cobwebs and get back on the grind for this coming Spring Semester! This semester will be showcasing some awesome events, and this week is no exception.

On January 29, 2012 at the Arc, they will be kicking it off with 2 salsa dancing classes! One is for beginners at 8pm and the other is for intermediates at 9pm. It will be taking place in the ARC Group Fitness Studio! Both classes cost $36 for ARC members and $49 for non-ARC members. The salsa classes are great and will give you an extra skill that you can show off to your friends! Once you finish learning some new moves, you can make your way for the Women’s tennis match this Friday, on February 1st, at the Aztec Tennis Center! Match time will start at 2pm; what better way to spend the afternoon?

In addition to these marvelous events, this Saturday on February 2nd is the GreenFest Artist Showcase. For those of you who don’t know about GreenFest, it is four days of events taking place from March 17th through the 21st that advocates environmental sustainability, cultural diversity, and Aztec Pride. The Artist Showcase is student competition where five musical artists will be given the opportunity to open for the international recording artist that will play at the GreenFest concert. The Artist Showcase will have sponsors and free promotions and giveaways for students. Refreshments will also be handed out at the event. The event is completely free and it will be taking place at the ARC at 5pm! Not only do you find out who the opening artist is, but you will find out the headlining artist as well!

I think it’s safe to say that it is a great week to be an Aztec, let’s fight on!!
