On October 17, 2013, colleges and universities nationwide are joining the movement to host an All-Nighter event on their campus to raise awareness about malnutrition, hunger and sustainable responses to poverty. Funds raised will be used to support desperately needed income-generating projects throughout the countries Food For The Poor serves. It is a great community service opportunity for campuses and their student organizations to demonstrate their philanthropic spirit, creativity and global awareness. Providing entire communities with a “hand up” as opposed to a “hand out” is a profound way to make a tremendous difference with effects that are life-changing.
The All-Nighter for the Poor event is a campus-wide, global initiative developed by Food For The Poor. The goal of the program is to increase awareness about malnutrition and to fund self-sustaining solutions — such as aquaculture and animal husbandry projects — to alleviate hunger and break the cycle of generational poverty in developing countries throughout the Caribbean and Latin America.
Come out to this life-changing event and make a difference!
