What’s Up Aztecs! Here are some events to check out the week of November 18-22nd!

Nov. 20, 2013

Bone Marrow Donor Sign-up
Time: 9 am- 3:30 pm
Location: North Library Walkway

The American Medical Student Association is hosting “AMSA hosts Gift of Life Bone Marrow Donor Sign-Up.” The head of the Premedical Leadership Action Committee of AMSA is hosting a bone marrow donor sign-up to complete the community presentation requirement for his position. The purpose of this event is to increase community awareness about the need for bone marrow donors, as well as sign people up to be placed on a bone marrow donor registry. Come out and show your support!


Great American Smokeout
Time: 10 am – 2 pm
Location: Campanile Walkway

This event entitled “Health Promotion Department – Great American Smokeout” will include the Health Promotions department collaborating with a group of Nursing Students to do a community outreach program asking students the reasons why they smoke and giving them reasons why they might want to quit. They would really love your support!

Social Justice in Islam
Time: 5:30 pm – 8pm
Location: LSN 111

The Muslim Student Association is hosting “Social Justice in Islam,” an event including a brief overview lecture and question and answer session regarding Islamic solutions to contemporary social problems. Come check it out!


Nov. 22, 2013

Chem Club BBQ
Time: Noon – 2pm
Location: Campanile Walkway

The Chemistry Club of SDSU is hosting a barbecue and raffle. They will be giving away brand new organic chemistry books, selling delicious food and promoting chemistry and science. You don’t want to miss this!


Victor Correa CPR Awareness Workshop
Time: 4- 6:00 pm
Location: PS 130

Sigma Lambda Beta International Fraternity Inc. is hosting an event demonstrating the importance of knowing CPR.  This promises to be a very informative event!


Japanese Culture Night
Time: Noon – 2pm
Location: Campanile Walkway

The Japanese Student Association is hosting “Japanese Culture Night.” The event will feature cultural performances by community members and organization members. They will also have tables with food and other cultural entertainment for patrons. Don’t miss out!
